DIAGNOSTIC
Adaptive Health Check

A diagnostic that reveals how your organisation or team is functioning through ongoing change and uncertainty, across eight dimensions. A clear, shared picture of where the system is coping, where it is stretched, and where focused attention will have the most impact.

THE PROBLEM

A change initiative drifts. Leadership adds more communication, more resources, more oversight. It still drifts. That's usually not a change management problem.
It's a sign the system is running on something nobody can see yet.
It's worth pausing to understand what's really happening before investing more in the same approach.

WHAT CHANGES

Most survey ask how people feel about a change. The Adaptive Health Check measures whether the system has the capacity for it - across eight dimensions built from over 30 years of applied work inside organisations going through transformation. The result isn't a satisfaction or engagement score. It's a precise read on how well your system is functioning under pressure and where a small shift will matter most.
The Adaptive Health Check shows you which system condition to intervene in - often one you'd never have thought to address. Leaders who have completed it describe seeing their organisation clearly for the first time, and knowing exactly what to do about it.

WHAT IT INVOLVES

The Adaptive Health Check is a 10-minute survey that can be run at an organisation or team level, with a minimum of six respondents.
Results are brought together in a summary report covering your change archetype, strengths, constraints, and the specific leverage points most likely to move things.
This is followed by a 60-90 minute executive debrief. It is not a readout where leaders passively receive findings. It’s designed for leaders to own their own part in what the results reveal, because that shift often has to happen before anything else can. From there, the group works through the leverage points and what to focus on first.

WHAT YOU GET

A summary report identifying your change archetype, strengths, constraints, and what the system can and cannot absorb right now

Key leverage points - where focused attention will move things most

A debrief where leaders confront their own role in the results

A shared leadership baseline - a common language and view of where the system is, grounded in evidence rather than assumption

A recommended pathway forward, tailored to what the results reveal

HOW IT CONNECTS

The Adaptive Health Check is the recommended starting point for most engagements. It makes every subsequent intervention more precise.

It can also stand alone and be returned to over time to track shifting conditions.
